Terrific Tuesday!

 We are working hard exploring math.  We read a book about all of the numbers we see in the city, then did a number hunt to find numbers in the classroom!  We talked about all of the places we found numbers around the room.  We played with unifix cubes and geoboards.  

During our language arts block, we listened to sounds made by different instruments and discussed if they were the same or different.  We talked about our left and right hands and how we read from left to right and top to bottom.  We made vertical and horizontal lines on our big paper while we talked about how we read words in a book.  We continued our nursery rhyme unit and talked about rhyming words, new vocabulary, what a sentence is, and main characters.  The kindergarteners drew pictures of the main character in each of the nursery rhymes we talked about today.
