What are we up to?

This week we are continuing to work on our handwriting by practicing different strokes on paper.  We've written vertical lines, horizontal lines, circles and diagonal lines.  The kindergarten kiddos have written on vertical surfaces, dry erase boards, and done line practice on paper.

Yesterday, we talked about temperature.  We talked about how to take temperatures outside with a thermometer.  The kiddos drew pictures of what it felt like outside during recess.  We talked about what happens to our bodies when it is hot outside.  We need water and we get sweaty!

For math, we have been talking about our birthdays.  We graphed our birthdays and did number stations focusing on the number 5.

During our social studies lesson today, we read a book called Our School is a Family.  We talked about the different places we go in our community and the people we see.

In Kindergarten Judaics, Morah Schusterman has been talking about Tzedakah.  The students have also been exploring Hebrew letters and their names.
