Our 5 Senses

The kindergarteners began their second CKLA Knowledge unit.  In this unit, we are learning about our five senses.  After identifying our five senses, the kiddos drew pictures of each sense and presented their drawings to their classmates. 

The next day, we focused on our sense of sight.  We did an exercise that had the students picture something in their mind to draw.  Then, they closed their eyes and attempted to draw with their eyes closed!  They opened their eyes to see how accurate their attempt was.  The kiddos realized how important your eyes are when you have to write or draw.
