What happens if it rains too much?
In Science, our Kindergarten students have been learning all about the weather! We've been discussing different aspects of weather, including cloud coverage, temperature, wind, and precipitation. After reading about rainfall, the students participated in a hands-on experiment to explore what happens when too much rain falls too quickly. Using sponges, pipettes, and water, they investigated how excess water can overwhelm the sponge—just like heavy rain can lead to flooding. This activity helped students make real-world connections to weather patterns and natural events.
