Our Planet: Taking Care of the Earth

This week we started our new Knowledge Domain: Our Planet: Taking Care of the Earth.  We started by checking out books from the library about the Earth, recycling, composting, and taking care of the environment. 

We learned about what the Earth is made of: water, land, and air.  The students drew pictures of each thing.

We learned about garbage, where it goes, and what happens to it when we throw it away.  Finally, we sequenced the steps using pictures.
