Self Portraits

     Our Art Around the World knowledge unit taught us about self portraits and portraits done by artists.  We learned about presidential portraits and the traditional of having the president's portrait painted.  During our Van Gogh read-aloud, we saw his self portrait.   
     To extend the activity, we made self portraits of our own.  Each child looked in the mirror and made their own self portraits using different art mediums.
