Exploring Pattern Blocks

Math:

One of our first activities in Everyday Math is talking about shapes.  During group time we discussed shapes we are familiar with like triangles and squares, then identified an named shapes including s rhombus, trapezoid, and hexagon.  We talked about the sides and corners and finished up by exploring the pattern blocks at the table.
